Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character of the late 19th and early 20th centuries who first appeared in publication in 1887. He was the creation of Scottish author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A brilliant London-based “consulting detective”, Holmes is famous for his intellectual prowess and is renowned for his enormous scope of observation, his astute logical reasoning and his forensic science skills to solve difficult cases.
Many writers have tried their hands at creating their own Holmes tales and in 2009 Moore & Reppion joined the likes of Nicholas Meyer, Loren D. Estleman, Stephen Fry, Neil Gaiman, Steven King, and all, with the release of their acclaimed original mystery “The Trial of Sherlock Holmes”.
